Sneer 4:5-10

“Our names up here are too smart for your ear, but for short call me XKGL”

With his hand of fire he pulled me to the stone; with his staff he bowed my head,
Red oil flowed thickly past my feet, raising icy sparks of dread.

“GREAT ARE YOUR AMAZEMENTS LORD”

The gloss of the stone flowed to matte and soft, large pieces flaked off to the floor,
They roared and they burned as they soaked up with oil;

“YOUR WISDOM IS ABOVE ALL”

XKGL’s staff laid me low, with a violent attack; to the grit and the slime on the ground,
a glowing red coal roaring into my eyes; a sharp spitting and cackling sound.

With laughter at fear, and an old rearview mirror, XKGL scooped that coal into my mouth,

He yelled at me “CHEW!, CHEW!, CHEW!” but my jaw remained static.

“GREAT ARE YOUR HUMILIATIONS LORD”

Hank 2:13

"Should you go first and I remain to finish with the scroll

No lessening shadows shall ever creep in to make this life seem droll

We've known so much of happiness we've had our cup of joy

And memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy

I want to know each step you take that I may walk the same

For someday down that lonely road you'll hear me call your name

Should you go first and I remain one thing I'll have you do

Walk slowly down that long long path for soon I'll follow you

In that fair homeland we'll know no parting beyond the sunset for evermore."

Serpentine 65:2-6

As I gazed at the glory of the throne, a soft wind blew over the backs of my shoulders. "Relax, relax, relax," said the Lord. My mouth became sweet with the taste of honey as my body slid to the ground. The light of the temple pressed me into the dirt, filth as filth that I am.

Otis 84:9

"Dry like the mouth of the morning-after clubber shall be the sands of hell."
